Children in Hospital Ireland (CIH) volunteers are crucial in making the hospital experience more positive for children, parents, and their wider families. A joke, a chat, a game of cards; that’s all it could take to make a child’s day, and give their family a bit of support.
Laughter is the best medicine, after all.
By treating volunteer visits like any other medical treatment, and by using real stories from volunteers, we were able to highlight how important CIH’s role is - and by proxy, how crucial funding is.
